FSiix Resources sources and trades steam (thermal) coal for power generation, cement manufacturing, and industrial boiler fuel, spanning mid-to-high calorific value grades drawn from multiple coalfields. Each parcel is beneficiated, screened, and quality-certified for gross calorific value, ash content, moisture, and sulphur before dispatch, and is supplied in bulk by rail, truck, or ocean vessel to suit the buyer's offtake volume and destination.
FSiix's steam coal desk sources run-of-mine (ROM) coal from producing collieries, then washes, blends, and screens it to raise calorific value and reduce ash ahead of export. Two GCV bands make up the core of our trading book: a higher-grade parcel in the 5,500–6,300 kcal/kg (GAR) range for utility power plants and cement kilns demanding consistent heat output, and a mid-grade 4,200–5,000 kcal/kg (GAR) parcel for industrial boilers and brick kilns where cost efficiency matters more than peak calorific value.
Every parcel carries a full quality certificate covering gross and net calorific value, total and inherent moisture, ash content, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and total sulphur, sampled and tested to ISO standards by an independent surveyor before loading.
FSiix's steam coal supply runs under continuous quality control, from mine-mouth extraction through beneficiation to certified, export-ready cargo.
Run-of-mine coal is extracted from open-cast or underground workings, then washed and blended across seams to raise calorific value, reduce ash content, and even out quality across the shipment.
Washed coal is crushed and screened to standard trade sizing, typically 0–50 mm, removing oversize rock and fines to meet the buyer's specified top size and handling requirements.
Every parcel is sampled per ISO 13909 and tested for GCV, moisture, ash, volatile matter, and sulphur before an independent surveyor certifies quantity and quality at load port or mine-mouth weighbridge.
FSiix's steam coal serves power utilities, cement manufacturers, and industrial processors worldwide — anywhere a certified, calorific-value-graded thermal fuel is specified.
Independent sampling and testing per ISO 13909 and ISO 1928 confirms GCV, ash, moisture, and sulphur on every parcel, so buyers receive coal within the exact GAR band they ordered.
Sourcing relationships across multiple collieries and coalfields let FSiix match buyers to the GCV band, ash ceiling, and sulphur limit they need, rather than a single mine's fixed output.
Rail, truck, and Handysize-to-Panamax vessel loading options let customers receive steam coal at whatever volume and delivery point suits their plant or terminal.
Global thermal coal demand remains anchored by power generation and cement production, with pricing set at a premium for higher-GCV, lower-ash, lower-sulphur parcels, and freight costs playing an outsized role in landed price for buyers distant from the loading coalfield.
Steam coal pricing tracks Newcastle and globalCOAL FOB references, moves with GCV band, ash and sulphur limits, and freight rates, and varies by origin and delivery term, so we don't publish a static reference price here — anything printed on a page would likely be stale within days.
