FSiix Resources sources and trades Sodium Nitrate (NaNO₃) — a white crystalline nitrate salt manufactured by neutralising nitric acid with sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide, followed by evaporation, crystallisation, and drying. Supplied from certified Indian production in technical, fertiliser, and refined grades, our sodium nitrate meets IS 12681 (explosives & pyrotechnics), IS 9157 (glass compositions), and international specifications for nitrogen fertiliser, glass and ceramics, oxidiser applications, and molten-salt thermal energy storage, and moves under oxidiser-cargo-compliant packing and transport worldwide.
FSiix's sodium nitrate programme draws on certified Indian manufacturing to supply technical grade, fertiliser grade, and refined grade NaNO₃ from a single, audited source. Historically mined as Chile saltpeter from Atacama Desert caliche ore, sodium nitrate today is produced almost entirely by synthetic neutralisation, giving consistent purity and impurity control unavailable from natural deposits.
Technical grade (99.0% min.) is the workhorse specification for oxidiser applications in explosives and pyrotechnics, glass manufacture, and industrial nitrate chemistry. Refined grade (99.5% min.) meets tighter chloride and moisture limits for food-preservative (E251) and reagent-grade uses. FSiix supplies every grade against IS 12681, IS 9157, and buyer-specified assay limits, backed by batch certificates of analysis and oxidiser-compliant packing for safe handling from loading to destination.
FSiix's sodium nitrate supply runs under continuous neutralisation production and batch-certified quality control, from acid neutralisation through to the graded, export-ready salt.
Dilute nitric acid (HNO₃) is neutralised with sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide in a controlled reactor, producing an aqueous sodium nitrate solution. Careful pH control during the reaction minimises residual acidity and impurity carryover into the finished product.
The sodium nitrate solution is evaporated under controlled temperature to supersaturation, then cooled to crystallise NaNO₃ as white crystals. Mother liquor is recycled to maximise yield and minimise waste, with impurities such as chloride and sulphate purged from the circuit.
Crystals are centrifuged, dried to below 0.6% moisture, and screened to target particle size. Every batch is assayed for NaNO₃ content, chloride, and pH against IS 12681 / IS 9157 and buyer specifications before certification and dispatch.
FSiix's sodium nitrate supplies fertiliser producers, glassmakers, explosives manufacturers, and thermal storage developers — matched to the grade each process calls for.
Technical, fertiliser, and refined grades from one certified Indian source mean customers can match the exact assay and impurity tolerance their process requires without splitting orders across suppliers.
Every batch is assayed for NaNO₃ content, chloride, moisture, and pH against IS 12681 (explosives/pyrotechnics), IS 9157 (glass compositions), and buyer specifications, with certificates of analysis issued ahead of shipment.
Packing and transport are handled to UN 1498 oxidiser-cargo requirements, with HDPE bags, jumbo bags, and bulk container options suited to each grade and volume.
Sodium nitrate demand spans nitrogen fertilisers, glass strengthening, explosives and pyrotechnics, and a growing molten-salt thermal energy storage sector tied to concentrated solar power deployment, with India among the leading production and consumption centres for synthetic sodium nitrate.
Sodium nitrate pricing moves with nitric acid feedstock costs, grade, and packing format, and varies meaningfully between technical grade and refined grade, so we don't publish a static reference price here — anything printed on a page would likely be stale within days.
