FSiix Resources sources and trades API Group I Base Oil across the three grades that anchor conventional lubricant formulation — SN150 and SN500 Solvent Neutral base stocks, and Bright Stock (BS150), the heaviest commercial grade produced from petroleum refining. Refined by vacuum distillation, solvent extraction, and solvent dewaxing — with an additional hydrofinishing step for Bright Stock — our base oils are refinery-direct and quality-certified for viscosity, viscosity index, and colour, and are supplied worldwide in drums, flexitanks, ISO tank containers, and bulk tanker or vessel consignments.
FSiix's base oil programme covers the conventional solvent-refining route that defines API Group I production: vacuum distillation separates the lube-oil cut from crude residue, solvent extraction (typically furfural or phenol) removes undesirable aromatics, and solvent dewaxing reduces pour point to the target specification. Solvent Neutral grades — SN150 and SN500 — are drawn directly from this route at different viscosity cuts, while Bright Stock is produced from the heaviest deasphalted vacuum residue and carries an additional hydrofinishing step that gives it its characteristic bright, light colour.
All three grades meet API Group I classification — saturates content below 90%, sulphur content above 0.03%, and viscosity index between 80 and 110 — making them suitable base stock for a broad range of automotive and industrial lubricant formulations. Every consignment FSiix trades is certified for viscosity, viscosity index, colour, flash point, and pour point before release.
FSiix's base oil supply runs under continuous refinery quality control, from vacuum distillation through solvent processing to certified, export-ready base stock.
Crude petroleum is separated by atmospheric distillation, and the long residue is further split under vacuum into distillate cuts of increasing viscosity, plus a deasphalted vacuum residue that forms the feedstock for Bright Stock.
Each distillate cut is treated with a selective solvent (furfural or phenol) to remove aromatic compounds and raise viscosity index, then solvent-dewaxed to bring pour point within specification. Bright Stock feedstock additionally passes through hydrofinishing to achieve its bright, light colour.
Every batch is tested against ASTM D445, D1500, D2270, D92, and D97 before release, then loaded into ISO tank containers, flexitanks, steel drums, or bulk tanker and vessel consignments for onward shipment.
FSiix's Group I Base Oil serves lubricant blenders, industrial processors, and formulators worldwide — anywhere a conventional, solvent-refined base stock is specified.
Continuous batch testing against ASTM D445, D1500, and D2270 holds every shipment of SN150, SN500, and Bright Stock within its specified viscosity and viscosity-index band.
Sourcing straight from refinery solvent-extraction and dewaxing units, without intermediary re-blending, preserves the saturates content and colour that keep each grade within specification.
A choice of ISO tank containers, flexitanks, steel drums, or bulk tanker and vessel loading lets customers receive base oil in whatever format suits their blending plant and volume.
Global lubricant demand continues to shift toward Group II and Group III base stocks in mature markets, yet Group I SN150, SN500, and Bright Stock remain widely specified across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, where established formulations and blending infrastructure are built around conventional solvent-refined base oil.
Base oil pricing tracks Platts Group I FOB references, moves with crude feedstock costs and refinery run rates, and varies by grade, packing format, and destination, so we don't publish a static reference price here — anything printed on a page would likely be stale within days.
